Exclusivox - Kirk

A bit about me and my music

Hi, I'm Kirk, hailing from Melbourne, Australia, with a deep love for rock, punk rock, metal, and alternative music scenes spanning the 90s to the mid-2000s. Currently, I'm passionately involved in crafting and sharing unique tones using the Hotone Ampero 2 Stage through my platform, Exclusivox. As Dave Grohl famously said, "Musicians should go to a yard sale and buy an old drum set and get in their garage and just suck. And get their friends to come in and they'll suck, too. And then they'll start playing and they'll have the best time they've ever had in their lives and then all of a sudden they'll become Nirvana."

My musical journey began early. Self-taught and driven by curiosity, I devoured guitar theory books borrowed from the local library in New Zealand and purchased my first acoustic guitar for $50 from a schoolmate. With my father's encouragement, I pursued music as a hobby and later played in a rock band during my university years. While I never aimed for stardom, I wanted to ensure I'd have no regrets about not trying.

Now, as a father to two wonderful girls, music remains a central part of my life. I'm eager to share my passion with them, teaching them not only the basics of music but also the dedication and joy that come with it. Through Exclusivox, I aim to document and share my musical journey, offering fellow enthusiasts the tones and patches I've carefully crafted.

My focus now is expanding Exclusivox, reaching more musicians who crave authentic and inspiring tones. Looking ahead, I'm committed to developing new patches, sharing insights, and connecting with like-minded music lovers. Whether you're curious about my music, want to explore my patches, or are interested in staying updated, feel free to reach out. I'm excited to share my love for music and my unique sounds with you.
